Job Overview

The role of the Lead Cyber Security Compliance Specialist involves ensuring that the Agency's cyber security compliance meets agreed standards.

This position acts as a key liaison for security compliance, providing relationship management and advice to internal and external business areas, third parties including managed service providers, software developers, auditors, and IRAP assessors, and other executive stakeholders.

  • Leadership and Accountability: Provide expertise and technical knowledge in cyber security compliance across the Agency's ICT environment.
  • Cyber Security Compliance Management: Ensure knowledge of and compliance with government security frameworks, including the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), Information Security Manual (ISM), and Essential Eight Maturity Model.
  • Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and risk assessment activities within sphere of responsibility.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure cyber security compliance is appropriately managed.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in cyber security compliance principles and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of government security frameworks, including PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight Maturity Model.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to provide technical guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders.
