Assistant in Orthopaedic Nursing

Our hospital is seeking an Assistant in Orthopaedic Nursing to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will provide vital support to the nursing team, ensuring seamless delivery of patient care.

You will be working closely with colleagues in a fast-paced environment, utilising your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to achieve effective teamwork.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage their workload effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses;
  • Assisting with medical procedures and treatments as required;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports;

We offer a permanent part-time position, working 38 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Current enrolment in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate;
  • Completion of Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) with evidence of completion of Block 1; or
  • Completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care).

You will also need to demonstrate effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a team.
