About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant to join our team at NTT DATA. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing architecture, design, integration, deployment, configuration, and fault management in highly complex technological environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to address complex solution requirements and provide technical expertise.
  • Delegate tasks to engineers and coordinate their activities to ensure high-quality work.
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and maintain project documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Suggest improvements to standard operating procedures for installations and fixes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentor and coach engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in complex solutions, authoring and contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation process.
  • Work independently, taking ownership of relevant technologies within your domain or specialization.
  • Monitor the quality of work produced by Engineers and Technicians, recommending continuous improvements.
  • Liaise with vendors for priority escalations or bugs found during deployments.

Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding and appreciation of technical solution design and business principles.
  • Strong project fundamentals demonstrated through successful installations and assignments.
  • Proven ability to take ownership as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Extensive specialist knowledge and expertise in relevant domains.
  • Significant experience in technical implementation engineering, particularly in Networking technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following Networking technologies: EVPN VXLAN, Cisco SDA, MPLS/Segment Routing, Overlay/Underlay WAN technologies.
  • Strong skills in Enterprise systems and solutions with multiple vendors technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the System Engineering Management Plan framework and processes.
  • Excellent verbal communication abilities.
  • Client-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and guide team members.
  • Extensive experience in client engagement and conducting presentations.
  • Strong report writing skills.

Academic Qualification and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
  • Professional level certifications in different Networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCIE, JNCIE, ACMP etc.
  • Registered on Engineers Australia National Engineering Register in the category Professional Engineer - Desirable.
  • Cisco Dev Net certification - Desirable.

Security Clearance:

A minimum of baseline security clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) is required. Negative Vetting 2 is desirable.
