About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Producer to join our Cantonese language program at SBS Australia. As a key member of our Audio and Language Content team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for our audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, write, produce, translate, and present audio content for our Cantonese language program, including news, current affairs, and community stories.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Cantonese-speaking community in Australia and its cultural sensitivities.
  • Collaborate with our team to foster audience engagement on-air and online.
  • Ensure high-quality content is delivered on time and to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in speaking Cantonese and in reading/writing Traditional Chinese, as well as English.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in journalism or broadcasting, with a strong understanding of audio content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
