Key Responsibilities- Collect and Record Patient Information: Gather and document patient information during transfers, ensuring accurate and timely data collection.
- Nursing Interventions: Provide nursing care in accordance with clinical practice guidelines, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.
- Transition Coordination: Coordinate the transition of patients from one mode of transport to the next, ensuring seamless care.
- Patient Handling: Actively participate in the loading and unloading of patients, utilizing appropriate manual handling techniques and standard operating procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and restock equipment and supplies at the completion of patient transfers, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Registration: Be registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of five years' experience working in an acute care setting.
- Certifications: Hold current certifications in ALS/APLS and IV cannulation.
- Clinical Practice: Demonstrate the ability to work under clinical practice guidelines.
- Safety and Quality: Possess strong knowledge and understanding of safety and quality principles.
- Teamwork: Be willing and able to function effectively as a team member.
- Communication: Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Microsoft Office: Have good Microsoft Office skills.
- Driver's License: Hold a current driver's license.
- Working with Children Clearance: Possess a current Working with Children clearance or be able to obtain one.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a patient transfer setting.
