Job Description

The Control Assurance Manager plays a critical role in driving sustainable enhancements to business practices and processes. This position resides within the Retail Bank, with a purpose of delivering better outcomes for customers, shareholders, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the development of automated controls to enhance risk and compliance outcomes.
  • Designing and implementing effective automated controls for new and changing processes and operations.
  • Leading the design, development, and embedment of a continuous assurance model.
  • Managing the Control Assurance Program (CAP) testing, including test script development and assurance findings reporting.
Requirements

This role requires:

  • Proven experience in Testing Automated/Application controls or IT General Controls, with a strong operational risk management background.
  • Experience using SQL and ability to think critically and analytically, applying data-driven insights to solve problems.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and implementation testing.
  • Influencing and consulting skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze/identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Leadership capability with the ability to drive a positive, professional, and engaging team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced data analytics and programming skills are desirable.
