About the Role

The Clinical Content Writer position within Mental Health Online presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a pioneering online mental health service funded by the Australian Government Department of Health.

As a key member of Swinburne's Centre for Mental Health and Brain Sciences, you will play a crucial role in developing and evaluating new therapeutic content and revising existing content for Mental Health Online treatment programs. Additionally, you will support research, quality, and evaluation activities related to clinical content, including obtaining feedback from service users and clinical experts and contributing to reports and publications.

About You

To be suitable for this role, you will need to have experience in the following key areas:

  • Demonstrated understanding of interventions for high prevalence mental health disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression)
  • High degree of organisational and administrative skills and capacity to prioritise workload and coordinate multiple demands
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative, and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated high standard of interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication
  • Experience delivering cognitive behavioural therapies (preferable for level A, essential for Level B)
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • (Level A) Completion of Honours in psychology (or equivalent qualifications and/or experience relevant to mental health)
  • (Level B) Postgraduate qualifications in psychology, counselling, social work, or equivalent
  • (Level B) Registration with the relevant professional body (Psychology board of Australia, AASW, PACFA/ACA)
