Job Overview

The Department of Transport and Planning is responsible for overseeing key planning, transport and land use policy decisions and management across the state.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a range of finance business partnering services to internal clients.
  • Offer sound financial advice, guidance and support to internal clients, and implement business improvements to finance business partnering related frameworks, systems and procedures.
  • Assist in budget and forecasting development, actual financial performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, and financial management of projects/programs.
  • Support internal clients regarding budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, financial management of projects/programs and financial operations including procurement.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in finance procedures that result in business improvements.
  • Apply written and oral communication skills and exercise professional judgement to provide insight into finance business partnering activities undertaken for internal clients.

Responsibilities include analysing and responding to financial business performance issues where defined policy and procedures may not be well-defined.
