Launch Your Mining Career

We are seeking a Graduate Mining Engineer to join our team and launch your mining career with our comprehensive 2-year Graduate Program. Gain hands-on experience across multiple mine sites in Western Australia, developing highly sought-after mining skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a tailored mentoring program, focusing on technical development and role-specific training.
  • Complete rotations across six underground mines and four processing plants in the Murchison and Southern Goldfields regions.
  • Gain practical underground experience required for the First Class Mine Managers Certificate.
  • Collaborate with seasoned professionals to develop your mining expertise.
  • Work an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster based in Perth.
Requirements
  • Possess a Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering.
  • Hold practical experience or vacation work (advantageous).
  • Demonstrate strong computer literacy skills.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills with all levels of operation.
  • Hold a current and valid Manual Driver's Licence.
  • Obtain a National Police Clearance valid within the last 12 months.
  • Pass Westgold's pre-employment process, including medical, drug and alcohol screening, and right to work checks.
