Job Title: Coordinator Youth Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our Youth Development Team. As Coordinator Youth Development, you will be responsible for coordinating Youth Development for the City of Mandurah and leading, developing, and delivering organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 14 specialist Youth Development and Youth Program Officers (7.1FTE) and have day-to-day oversight of the Billy Dower Youth Centre, located in Dower Street Mandurah.
  • Oversight of the award-winning Mandurah Junior Council and Mandurah Youth Advisory Group and be outward-focused in creating new connections and opportunities in the community.
  • Develop, implement, and manage business plans and budgets.
  • Develop and deliver organisational objectives and lead the Youth Development Team to achieve them.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create a culture based on respect, trust, and inclusiveness.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in a community/youth development field or relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of trends, policies, planning, and service delivery in contemporary youth development.
  • Leadership, staff supervision skills, and ability to lead a team autonomously.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide cross-section of people and organisations.
  • Experience in maximising opportunities and supporting agencies in a co-located facility.
  • A current National Police Clearance and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
What We Offer:
  • A fair salary, with a salary range of $125,891 to $134,254 gross per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • An additional $14,000 gross per annum car allowance (total remuneration package $139,891 to $148,254 gross per annum exclusive of superannuation).
