Role Overview:

Embedded Expertise is seeking a skilled Automation Systems Specialist to design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems used in power transmission & distribution.

About the Role:

This position requires a deep understanding of SCADA technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design and develop SCADA systems for power distribution networks, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Implementation and Configuration: Implement and configure SCADA software and hardware, optimizing system performance and reliability.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain SCADA systems, promptly addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SCADA systems, providing technical support and training to end-users as needed.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to integrate SCADA systems with other technologies, ensuring smooth operation and optimal results.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: High level of experience in the design and operation of Remote SCADA systems, across the full application lifecycle, with exposure to Transmission and Distribution applications and integrated Asset Data models.
  • Skills and Qualities: Proven experience in SCADA system design and implementation, familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850), excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer an estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
