Accountant/Analyst Opportunity

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven individual with a passion for numbers and financial accuracy to join our dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed support to the accounting department, including preparing monthly accounts, payroll, PAYG, taxes, and superannuation.
  • Manage HR administration, subcontractor engagement, and handle various AR and AP tasks.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare/input journals for management accounts support.
  • Input weekly/monthly payroll data, prepare journals for wages and superannuation, update salary increases, and calculate termination payments for payroll administration.
  • Prepare and import journals for WorkCover and payroll tax, lodge payroll tax returns, and manage superannuation returns for compliance support.
  • Handle reconciliations for payroll tax, PAYG, workers compensation, and superannuation for year-end payroll reconciliation.
  • Review new employee files, update wage data, and manage salary sacrifice agreements for HR file administration.
  • Set up and maintain HR and Translogix files, prepare subcontractor invoices, and process payments for subcontractor payments.
  • Input creditor coding data, review invoice reconciliations, and process payments for AR and AP backup.
  • Provide high-level analysis and support as needed, using Excel and other tools for miscellaneous support.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with 5-10 years of accounting experience, a degree in Business Administration and/or Accounting, and CPA certification. Strong Excel and MS Suite skills, as well as experience with in-house accounting systems (Translogix ideal), are also essential.
