Senior High Voltage Jointer

We are seeking a skilled Senior High Voltage Jointer to join our electrical construction projects team, delivering high-quality HV installations from 11kV to 132kV.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years' experience with HV cable jointing (up to 132kV) and be certified as a HV Jointer (endorsed by manufacturer or accredited body).

This role involves performing HV cable jointing, terminations, testing, and fault diagnosis on XLPE and PILC cables, interpreting plans, schematics, and technical drawings to complete high-voltage installations to specification, ensuring safety and quality standards are met and exceeded.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and project teams to deliver works efficiently and on time, maintaining detailed records of testing, jointing logs, and daily work activities.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with HV cable jointing (up to 132kV)
  • Certified HV Jointer (endorsed by manufacturer or accredited body)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian electrical safety standards
  • Experience with HV testing tools (VLF, IR testers, sheath testers)
  • White Card and First Aid (CPR/LVR) certified
  • HV Switching Ticket (preferred)
  • Valid driver's licence and right to work in Australia
  • Ability to pass site medicals and drug & alcohol testing
