Long-Term Project Mechanical Fitter

Establish a strong foundation in mechanical engineering by working as a Mechanical Fitter on a 2:1 DIDO roster with our team.
We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Construction division and contribute to the delivery of Civil and SMP packages on a long-term project.
The Role- Identify and rectify equipment breakdowns through thorough fault finding
- Maintain an efficient inventory of materials to support production needs
- Assemble complex metal parts and subassemblies using precision techniques
- Conduct regular mechanical inspections and complete checklists to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Develop and implement effective marking and lining out processes
- Perform pre-start checks on plant and equipment to guarantee operational safety
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and organized area, adhering to stringent quality control systems
- Carry out other general duties as required to support the successful completion of projects
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
- A recognised trade certificate
- A nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
- RIIWHS204D or RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights certification
- RIIWHS202D or RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Space qualification
- Previous experience working on construction projects
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- High Risk Work Licence (EWP) – advantageous
