About the Role

We are seeking two experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team at Genus Group. As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services for our fleet of heavy equipment, including trucks, excavators, and crane borers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including trucks, excavators, and crane borers
  • Conduct performance testing on fleet vehicles and reduce equipment downtime with innovative problem solving
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults
  • Integrate new technology to existing structures of all plant and machinery, including component refurbishing
Requirements
  • Relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • Aircon ticket essential
  • 5+ Previous heavy duty diesel fitter/mechanic experience essential
  • Broad experience on Japanese, American and European trucks
  • Valid Australian Driver's License - "HR" Class
  • Previous experience in conducting breakdowns / fault finding
  • Strong ability to adapt to different environments, and workloads
  • Have sufficient and appropriate tools to perform the role
  • Must have full Australian Working Rights
Desirable Skills
  • Hydraulics experience highly desirable
  • Experience with directional drilling and excavating equipment highly desirable
  • Elevated Work Platform, Working at Heights and Crane Tickets highly desirable
