Diagnostic Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Imaging Specialist to join our Medical Imaging Department at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Ultrasound imaging service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all Ultrasound examinations to the highest standards of quality and care, demonstrating extensive knowledge of ultrasound imaging.
- Demonstrate a wide variety of examination experience and clinical skill in Ultrasound imaging.
- Assist in the daily workflow of the area and ongoing service delivery to ensure clinical and operational efficiency and patient safety.
- Supervise junior staff and trainees in Ultrasound to ensure ongoing staff development and training.
Requirements:
- Registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
- Experience in a wide variety of ultrasound examinations.
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

About the Medical Imaging Team
St. Vincent's Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a tertiary imaging department providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services to SVHM's inpatients and outpatients.
The Ultrasound department consists of 5 diagnostic rooms and performs a wide range of general and complex examinations such as abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular and breast.
St. Vincent's Private Radiology (SVPR) is a co-located comprehensive private radiology service providing imaging services to St. Vincent Private Hospital, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and private outpatients.
The SVPR ultrasound department consists for 4 diagnostic rooms and performs a wide range of general and complex examinations such as abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular and obstetrics.
