Databricks Data Engineers design and develop data models, reports, and dashboards that meet business needs.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to understand data and analytics initiatives, translating business requirements into logical data models, and implementing data governance.
Additional responsibilities include working with technical and non-technical teams, designing star and snowflake schemas, and optimizing data pipelines.
Skills and Qualifications- Expertise in data engineering and analysis
- Proficient in T-SQL, SQL Server, Databricks, PySpark, Power BI, and related tools and platforms
- Experience with Lambda architecture, Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Confluent, and Apache Flink
- Skilled in constructing and optimizing data pipelines, data models, and reports
- Designing and implementing scalable data architectures
- Handling large and complex datasets
- Mentoring engineers and guiding technical decisions
- Translating business logic into fact/dimension tables
- Ongoing data modeling and maintenance
