Job Opportunity: Make a significant impact in dental health services at the University of Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a dedicated team of Dental Clinic Assistants within a clinical environment.
  • Supervise Dental Clinic Assistants across undergraduate, general, and specialist clinics.
  • Ensure clinical requirements are met efficiently by liaising with academic and clinical staff.
  • Maintain equipment, materials, and patient management systems to support clinic operations.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Dental Assisting or a recognised equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience as a Dental Clinic Assistant in a clinical setting is essential.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to manage clinic staff effectively, are crucial for success.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with students, staff, and patients are vital.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to use initiative in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and clinical related documentation is required.

Special Requirements:

  • Current First Aid Certificate is mandatory.
  • Current Working with Children Check is a requirement.
  • National Police Clearance is also necessary.

This role is part-time (0.4 FTE) and fixed-term for 12 months.
