About the Role

At Pitchers Hospitality Supplies, we are seeking a skilled and reliable warehouse professional to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse staff, you will be responsible for all aspects of warehousing including picking, packing, and checking orders, receipting and putting away stock, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

We offer a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Picking, packing, and checking orders in a timely manner to meet customer deadlines.
  • Receipting and putting away stock accurately and efficiently to ensure minimal errors and maximum productivity.
  • Loading and unloading trucks safely and effectively to prevent damage to goods and equipment.
  • Operating a forklift (forklift license an advantage) to transport stock around the warehouse.
  • Cleaning and organizing the warehouse to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • A positive attitude with ability to take directions and work independently.
  • Reliability and accuracy in performing tasks to meet customer expectations.
  • Safe handling of materials and knowledge of Safe Work Practices to prevent injuries and damage.
  • Professional approach and collaborative working manner to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Physically fit & strong with the ability to handle heavy & repetitive lifting.
  • Forklift license an advantage.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Sound literacy, reading and numeracy abilities to record data and complete paperwork.
