About the Role

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Carpenter/Construction Specialist to cut, fabricate, and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have great hand dexterity, an eye for detail, and good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements.
  • Take precise measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
  • Build structures on site using wood or assemble metal frames that have been manufactured elsewhere.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Inspect sites and perform repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Construct scaffolding and other construction structures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a carpenter or construction specialist.
  • At least 3 years of full-time work experience in the industry.
  • Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials.
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
  • Commitment to following safety guidelines at all times.
  • High level of experience using power and hand tools.
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Good understanding of basic math.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
  • High school diploma; Successful completion of Carpentry apprenticeship, Cert III or Cert IV in Carpentry required.
