A diverse learning support teacher role is available in a school community committed to inclusive education. The goal of this position is to build the capacity of teachers and other staff to cater for the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of students.

  • The ideal candidate will have a deep personal commitment to their faith and spiritual formation, as well as a deep knowledge of the English and Maths Curriculum.
  • They will be skilled classroom practitioners with qualifications or studies in Special Education, or a willingness to undertake relevant study.
  • The role requires an understanding of and willingness to support inclusion of students with particular learning needs in the life of the school, quality differentiated teaching in the regular classroom, and adjustments to cater for particular needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

This role involves working closely with teachers, parents/carers, and external professionals to provide support and resources for students with diverse learning needs.

The successful applicant will have a commitment to and capacity to work in a collaborative and collegial manner, and a willingness to contribute to the life and culture of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist teachers and other staff in building the capacity to cater for the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of students.
  • To develop and implement strategies to support the inclusion of students with particular learning needs in the life of the school.
  • To work collaboratively with teachers, parents/carers, and external professionals to provide support and resources for students with diverse learning needs.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep personal commitment to faith and spiritual formation.
  • Deep knowledge of English and Maths Curriculum.
  • Qualifications or studies in Special Education.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
