Key Responsibilities- Oversee hospital administration functions, including front reception, pre-admissions, theatre & day surgery admissions, discharge of patients, and ward clerks.
- Manage financial consent management, including private health funding eligibility, patient accounts, billings, debtors collection, and accounts payable.
- Develop and implement effective rosters, staffing, and supervision strategies to optimize team performance.
- Collaborate with the Administration Manager to drive staff development, including appraisals and ongoing training.
- Perform process reviews and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist the Patient Administration Manager in achieving team and hospital KPIs.
- Handle enquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records via Webpas.
- Utilize MS Office applications to manage correspondence and conduct reports.
- Previous experience working within healthcare.
- Demonstrated people leadership and supervisory skills.
- Established planning and organizational skills.
- Well-developed problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Self-directed and motivated with the ability to effectively plan and prioritize.
- Experience in managing/undertaking switchboard functions.
- Well-developed professional communication skills (written and spoken).
