Job Opportunity in Oncology Nursing

Mater Hospital Brisbane's Oncology Ward (10B) is seeking skilled and dedicated healthcare professionals to join the team on a permanent part-time basis.

  • As an oncology nurse, you will have a strong patient focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, and willingness to facilitate cohesive professional relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Assess patient conditions, create comprehensive nursing care plans, and monitor patients' progress throughout their treatment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Offer emotional support to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing education on treatment options and side effects.
  • Document patient information accurately, including medical history, medications, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Have advanced clinical competency and experience within an oncology setting.
  • Demonstrate high levels of communication and clinical problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
