Rail Signalling Commissioning Manager/Engineer Position in Sydney

We are seeking a skilled Rail Signalling Commissioning Manager/Engineer to join our team at Laing O'Rourke's Seven Hills, NSW office. This exciting role will see you working on prestigious rail transport infrastructure projects with Sydney Trains experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive testing and commissioning procedures to ensure alignment with current TfNSW standards.
- Manage costs and subcontractors effectively.
- Oversee the application of project strategies from initiation to successful handover to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate resources are allocated to manage the competencies of Laing O'Rourke's testing and commissioning personnel.
- Conduct compliance reviews and audits for all testing and commissioning work performed by Laing O'Rourke.
- Assess and manage training requirements for Laing O'Rourke's Testing and Commissioning resources, including sharing lessons learned from each delivered project.
- Verify the operational readiness of each project to guarantee seamless handover to clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports on progress, issues, and status of relevant activities.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in railway signalling, site testing, and commissioning.
- Proven track record of managing teams during the delivery phase of testing and commissioning.
- Proficiency in preparing Testing and Commissioning documents – strategy, methodology, work package, procedures, reports, SWMS, JSEAs, etc.
- Sydney Trains and/or ARTC relevant Statement of Competency - Signalling Engineer/Tester in Charge/Commissioning Engineer is required.
- Member or Fellow of IRSE (Institute of Railway Signal Engineers).
