Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to school-aged children, creating a fun-filled environment that promotes learning and development.

This is a permanent, part-time role (30 hours per week) for Before and After School Care and Vacation Care, located at Bulli Public School.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma of Children's Services or related qualification, experience as a support worker or OOSH Educator/2IC, and outstanding communication skills with families and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality care and education to school-aged children
  • Incorporate ideas and expertise to create a fun-filled environment
  • Develop respectful, long-lasting relationships with parents, carers, and fellow educators
  • Implement programs in line with Big Fat Smile policies, the National Quality Framework, and Child Protection Legislation; work closely with the Director
  • Support the team and leadership within the service to ensure safe, inclusive practice
Requirements
  • A cleared valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) for paid work
  • Diploma of Children's Services or related qualification (desirable)
  • Experience as a support worker, SLSO, OOSH Educator/2IC, or with school-aged children
  • Outstanding communication skills with families and the community
  • Strong commitment to work health and safety
  • Understanding and experience in implementing educational programs and leadership within the centre as the Educational Leader
