About the Role

We are seeking experienced Casual Youth Workers to join our team at Life Without Barriers. As a Casual Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people within our Foster Care and Residential programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with children and young people, fostering trust and engagement through active listening and participation.
  • Act as a positive adult role model, encouraging young people to develop life skills and self-worth through purposeful activities.
  • Support family involvement and facilitate family visits/connection, promoting positive relationships between children and young people and their families.
  • Promote positive relationships with peers and other significant individuals in the child/young person's life.
  • Assist children and young people in making decisions about their activities, promoting autonomy and self-determination.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of the Circle of Security and CARE frameworks is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with family intervention programs is desirable.
  • Valid Full Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Complete Hope and Healing Framework Foundations prior to starting (we will enrol you in this if successful).
