The Opportunity:

We have a unique opportunity for a Senior Underwriter to join our team and contribute to our mission of making a difference in people's lives. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting underwriting assessments within personal authority levels
  • Maintaining individual service level, productivity, and quality targets
  • Approving referrals within authority levels
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with advisers and clients
  • Promoting and driving a culture of extracting quality information from advisers and clients or any third party via tele-collection of information
  • Developing and implementing underwriting practices, processes, and strategies to improve efficiency and quality
  • Collaborating with reinsurers to gain industry knowledge on best practice underwriting capabilities

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive life insurance underwriting experience
  • Ability to demonstrate standard process in underwriting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound medical and financial knowledge
  • Sound customer service skills
