Job Description:

We are passionate about supporting young people and creating a welcoming space for all.

Every year headspace centres help thousands of young Australians access support and services for their mental and physical health with a focus on early intervention.

This position plays a vital role in promoting our services, supporting mental health literacy, encouraging help-seeking, and contributing to the wellbeing of young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the community engagement strategy and headspace centre services, your day will be bursting with opportunities to create engaging content in a meaningful mental health promotion context.
  • Creating digital and print resources, implementing campaigns, crafting blog updates, keeping our websites up to date through filming and photographing events out in community.

This is a part-time parental leave replacement role until 2025, working 3 days a week (22.5 hours) based at our headspace Southport centre but supporting marketing and communications initiatives across both Southport and Upper Coomera. There is some flexibility in relation to your preferred work days.

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing/communications or previous experience in the field.
  • Highly developed communication skills, particularly written communications/copywriting with previous experience in creating short and long form content.
  • Able to craft audience specific content to speak to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience creating content and using social media platforms, specifically Instagram and Facebook.
  • Aptitude for using digital content platforms (e.g., basic backend for websites, blogs).
  • Experience in designing and creating promotional/marketing materials (e.g., posters, fliers, brochures).
  • A creative eye for photography to create content for digital and social media platforms.
