Job Title: Mathematics Teacher

Magdalene Catholic College, Narellan is seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to teach Mathematics across a range of year groups and levels. The successful applicant will be required to create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L).

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to students in Years 7-12
• Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies in Mathematics
• Assess student learning and use data to inform instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve student outcomes
• Contribute to the development of the Mathematics faculty

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church
• Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning
• Use a range of assessment strategies to inform student learning
• Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents and the wider College community

Desirable Criteria

• Experience teaching in Stage 6 (Advanced and/or Standard) would be beneficial
• Ability to teach Mathematics Extension would be advantageous

Qualifications

• Appropriate qualifications for teaching Mathematics
• Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW
• Registration to teach with NESA

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with CEDoW.
