The Role

The Food Services Assistant plays a vital role in providing efficient and high-quality catering services to our Home.

  • Prepare dining areas according to standards.
  • Set up trolleys for tea breaks and supper.
  • Wash dishes and clean according to the Food Safety Program.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of food preparation and serving areas.
  • Assist with meal preparation as required.
  • Monitor and record food safety requirements.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Australian Food Standards and Food Safety regulations.
  • Good communication skills, including written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, prioritise tasks and adapt to changing situations.
  • Digital literacy.
