Cable Repairer - Emerald QLD

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Cable Repairer to work out of our Emerald operation on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will be working a 4 on 4 off, 4 on 2 off roster with a long weekend every second week. Overtime is available on weekdays with penalty rates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and fit accessories for various sizes and types of electric cables used in the mining, industrial and commercial sectors.
  • Repair reeling, trailing and flexible cables.
  • Inspect and fit plugs/couplers for reeling, trailing and flexible cables.
  • Verify compliance of repaired reeling, trailing and flexible cables.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong hand tool and attention to detail skills.
  • A current HR driver's license is advantageous.
  • A forklift ticket – desirable, but not mandatory.
