Job Title

Senior Equity Research Analyst

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Senior Equity Research Analyst. This role will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne and involves conducting in-depth research and rating of Australian and New Zealand equity strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on Australian and New Zealand equity strategies, including performance analysis, peer group comparisons, and interviews with key decision-makers.
  • Prepare clear, concise investment due diligence reports supporting research ratings and present findings to internal committees and clients.
  • Collaborate with global research teams on projects, process improvements, and producing investment analysis and white papers.
  • Articulate Mercer's research process and investment views to clients and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience in the investment management industry preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Confident in engaging with investment managers and challenging their strategies.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of presenting and defending views both verbally and in writing.
  • Stable employment record demonstrating growth in responsibility.
  • Solid academic background and computer literacy.
