Child Trauma Therapist
We are seeking a highly skilled Child Trauma Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and young people who have experienced family violence trauma.
About the Role:
- The successful applicant will be responsible for providing developmentally appropriate specialist psychological services and therapeutic support to children and young people.
- They will undertake appropriate forms of interventions within family violence, trauma, and attachment frameworks in line with evidence-based practice and contemporary therapeutic models.
- The role will also involve undertaking psychological assessments of children, young people, and their families using standardised assessment methods.
- Provision of therapeutic interventions, case management services, and referrals to appropriate agencies as necessary is also a key aspect of this position.
- The successful applicant will contribute to and participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs for clients of our service.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia is required.
- Working with Children Registration is also essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people who have experienced trauma.
This full-time position will work 76 hours per fortnight and will be filled on merit. The successful applicant will commence as soon as possible. This role may be used to fill subsequent or fixed-term vacancies for a period of twelve months from the date of publication.
