We are seeking individuals with professional backgrounds in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Australia.
In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case management, including caseloads that are manageable and supported by Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
- Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
- Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
- Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
- Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
- Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
- Completing various assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling;
- General or Provisional Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors ASORC;
- Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
- Fabulous communication skills, including getting to know clients and stakeholders;
- Compassion, kindness, and empathy;
- Well-developed time management skills;
- A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
