
Operational Logistics Specialist

The Warehouse Operations Lead is a key role responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse function in the designated area. This includes supervising and motivating staff, leading and coordinating activities, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
This position requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire confidence and urgency within the team and across the business unit. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key accountabilities include:
- Leadership: Ensuring understanding and engagement with vision, purpose, and strategic considerations at Manager and Team levels.
- Management: Optimising resource allocation and planning to meet and exceed service level and affordability targets.
- Warehousing: Managing the warehousing function and activities, including house-keeping and facility maintenance requirements.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Managing budgets within expected guidelines and service levels.
- Ensuring all audit and other reporting obligations are met in a timely manner.
- Managing Goods Holding inventory and transactions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with experience in leading teams and implementing process improvements. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
