Food Service Delivery Associate

We are seeking a reliable and efficient individual to join our food services team as a casual Food Service Delivery Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a fleet of mobile food vans to assigned locations across the city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the food van to assigned locations based on a rotating monthly roster, ensuring timely delivery of meals to those in need.
- Set up, serve, and plate meals while maintaining smooth food service operations, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
- Manage inventory, track supplies, and handle routine van maintenance, including cleaning and refuelling, to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Maintain accurate records, oversee mileage, and fuel usage, providing valuable insights for future operations.
- Provide guidance and support to volunteers during food runs, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
Requirements:
- Valid Class C driver's license with a current driving history (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience driving Mercedes Sprinters or similar-sized vehicles, with knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operation.
- Basic Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain) with knowledge of food handling and preparation.
- Reliable, efficient, and strong time management skills, with flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
