Located in the vibrant city of Gold Coast, we are seeking a highly motivated and passionate School Based Apprentice Chef to join our dynamic team at The Star Gold Coast. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in culinary arts.

The Star Entertainment Group owns and operates The Star Sydney, The Star Gold Coast, and Treasury Brisbane, offering a range of restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, and hotels. This part-time position involves working one day per week at The Star Gold Coast, plus assigned TAFE days, and the ability to work and earn on weekends and school holidays. As a School Based Apprentice Chef, you will have the opportunity to learn and work alongside our talented and passionate chefs in various restaurants and cuisines, gaining experience in hot and cold production kitchens and pastry kitchens.

You will also have the chance to participate in Masterclasses and field trips, extending your learning outcomes. Additionally, you will receive off-job training developed in consultation with our executive culinary team, facilitated by reputable training organisations.

In this role, you can expect to earn an estimated salary of $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, based on Australian industry standards and location.
