**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Cello Instrumental Music Tutor to join our team at Geelong Grammar School. As a member of our music department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and considered individual music lessons to students from Prep to Year 6, inclusive of our Classroom Instrumental Programs for Years 2 and 3, and assistance in ensembles.

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary music qualification in cello and have experience teaching within a school music program. You will also have a proven record of excellence in tutoring and performance skills gained through training or experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individual music lessons to students from Prep to Year 6
  • Assist in ensembles and provide Ensemble direction, piano accompaniment, and conducting skills
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Participate in rehearsals, concerts, and music events

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Music qualification - Cello
  • Experience teaching within a school music program
  • A proven record of excellence in tutoring and performance skills gained through training or experience
  • VIT or Working with Children Check
