Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Nine Entertainment. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for gathering and analysing large and complex data sets to uncover insights and trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large and complex data sets to uncover insights and trends.
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms.
  • Collaborate with other data scientists and analysts to design and implement innovative solutions that support business objectives.
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines and workflows.
  • Conduct data cleaning, transformation, and validation.
  • Create and present clear and concise reports, visualisations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Use data visualisation tools to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data science or analytics roles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable:

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Big Query or Spark.
  • Understanding of media industry metrics and analytics.
  • Experience in A/B testing and experimental design.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
