Job Title:

Senior Associate Position in Melbourne

As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in defending personal injury claims and general liability matters for major Australian insurers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defend personal injury claims and general liability matters, representing major Australian insurers
  • Provide strategic legal advice and develop strong defence strategies for insurers
  • Manage high volumes of matters, ensuring timely resolution and cost-effective outcomes
  • Conduct litigation, including drafting legal documents, appearing in court, and engaging in settlement negotiations
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, providing guidance and support to develop their skills
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Between 5-8 years' experience in a reputable defendant insurance practice specialising in personal injury and general liability
  • Proven ability to handle a high volume of claims
  • Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • Strong client management and relationship-building skills
