About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bulk Explosives Specialist to join our Cairns Quarry Service Team in Queensland.

You will be responsible for operating advanced heavy rigid vehicles fitted with the latest technologies to deliver bulk explosives at our customers' mine sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and uphold our core value of prioritising safety above all else;
• Operate MMU trucks and other associated blasting plant machinery safely and efficiently;
• Provide operational expertise and advice to client blast crews and stakeholders;
• Assist with preventative maintenance on associated plant and machinery;
• Deliver explosive products into pre-drilled blast holes on bench;
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide exceptional service to valued customers;
• Act with integrity and respect at all times.

Requirements

• A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence is mandatory;
• Proven experience working in physically demanding environments;
• The ability to work outside in all weather conditions;
• Capacity to pass required security checks for a Dangerous Goods licence;
• An excellent attitude, with a positive and team-oriented approach;
• Familiarity with basic mechanical principles would be beneficial;
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical check, including drug and alcohol screening.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
