About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to join our team as a Seasonal Casual Parcel Sorter. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient sorting and delivery of parcels and mail to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sorting parcels and mail using manual or machine-assisted methods with the aid of scanners
  • Loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers, and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
  • Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers while cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility
About You
  • You are available to work from October through our peak period
  • You enjoy a physical role and can lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly
  • You are safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices, including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans
  • You are comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products

  • You will be allocated a regular shift time and work with a great bunch of people
  • A higher rate of pay may apply for applicable shift times (penalty rates)
  • You will benefit from a 12% superannuation rate
  • We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season
