About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our client, a leading Australian manufacturer with over fifty years of industry experience. As a key member of the onsite maintenance team, you will oversee the site's maintenance activities, ensuring reliability and driving continuous improvement within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to manufacturing requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain and control a preventative and emergency maintenance program for all plant services and facilities, minimizing downtime and optimizing production efficiency.
- Coordinate and execute fault finding, diagnostics, isolation, shutdowns, repairs, and modifications, leveraging your expertise in maintenance strategies and end-to-end maintenance within food manufacturing.
- Identify inefficiencies in processing and recommend maintenance solutions to enhance operational efficiency, collaborating with Production and Engineering teams to address breakdowns and related issues.
- Supervise maintenance staff, including managing shift, overtime, and leave rosters, ensuring a high-performing team that meets the needs of the business.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in maintenance leadership and team management.
- Trade qualifications and/or tertiary engineering degree required, with a strong understanding of maintenance strategies and end-to-end maintenance within food manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in maintenance strategies and end-to-end maintenance within food manufacturing, with a strong focus on process improvement and efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated track record in development and process improvement, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
