Job Overview

Job Title: Roofer

You will be installing and repairing roofs on buildings.

Responsibilities
  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Ensure that all installed roofing meets safety standards
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience working with roofs
  • Languages: English is the primary language for communication
Work Environment
  • Location: Sidney, BC V8L 1Z5
  • Work location: On the road or at construction sites
  • Work site environment: At heights; Noisy; Outdoors
  • Work setting: Various locations across the region
Employment Terms
  • Salary: $26.00 per hour, with potential for overtime pay
  • Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time with benefits
  • Shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, On call shifts may apply
