Maintenance Fitter Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Albury NSW facility. This is a critical role that will work closely with the engineering/maintenance function to ensure the highest standards of asset care, while supporting Safety, Quality, and Production.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with Maintenance and Quality teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain plant production capability.
  2. Perform Root Cause Analysis on all critical failures of plant and ensure action items derived are implemented and sustained.
  3. Actively support the implementation of capital projects.
  4. Demonstrate genuine safety-first leadership, leading by example.
  5. Foster continuous improvement to ensure compliance with policy, guidelines and better practice frameworks.
  6. Visible belief and demonstrated leadership in driving a Zero Harm culture.
  7. Formal qualifications (Mechanical Engineering) or can demonstrate equivalent experience/training (Trade qualified – Cert IV or higher).
  8. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics is preferred.
  9. Strong mechanical aptitude with an inquisitive mind-set.
  10. Result driven focus with strong mechanical aptitude.
  11. Formal training in Lean manufacturing techniques and root cause analysis (desirable).
  12. Great communication skills and strong rapport-building techniques.
  13. Current and Valid 'S' Permit (Restricted Electrical License) would be advantageous.
  14. Working knowledge of MS Office suite/computer skills.
  15. Highly developed leadership skills that promote ownership and accountability in day-to-day tasks.
  16. Collaborative, transparent and enabling approach.
