Job Description
The University of Melbourne invites applications for a Lecturer position in Political Science within the School of Social and Political Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching and research activities of the School, while advancing their own research agenda.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching and coordinating undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in Politics and International Studies
- Supervising student research projects at the honours and graduate coursework levels
- Contributing to curriculum development and innovation, including cross-disciplinary approaches
- Participating in departmental and faculty-wide service activities
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must possess:
- A PhD in Political Science or a closely related discipline
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- An emerging research record that enhances teaching practice
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the learning orientations of a diverse student cohort
