Job Description

The WHS Compliance Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring that our display homes, sales offices, corporate offices, warehouses, and other facilities throughout NSW & ACT comply with all relevant legislation. This position reports to the National WHS Manager and works closely with the Compliance Coordinators to oversee the compliance process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage performance for all Compliance Coordinators
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness requirements, including first aid, emergency wardens, emergency procedures, and fire safety compliance
  • Conduct regular documented safety and compliance inspections
  • Coordinate ergonomic requirements to reduce the risk of injury and discomfort to workers
  • Complete test and tag requirements
  • Develop and facilitate WHS training and induction to ensure WHS compliance and improve overall WHS performance
  • Support the implementation of the annual WHS training plan in line with the Corporate Training program and budget
  • Provide guidance and training for WHS committees and coordinate their reporting requirements
  • Ensure corrective actions are taken to eliminate, isolate, or minimise risks and maintain the various registers and reporting requirements of the WHS Management System

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in WHS
  • 2+ years working in a similar role with experience using LinkSafe
  • Excellent knowledge of WHS legislation, rules, and regulations
  • Strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills with an ability to meet deadlines
  • Leadership skills with excellent communication, influencing, interpersonal, and presentation skills
