Medical Centre Lead - General Practitioner

We are seeking a dynamic and qualified General Practitioner (GP) to lead our medical centre team at the Northern Beaches Hospital. This is a fantastic leadership opportunity to provide quality healthcare to the local community.

The Northern Beaches Medical Centre is a GP clinic co-located with the Emergency Department at the Northern Beaches Hospital.

The medical centre serves the community as an acute clinic to support the Emergency Department and wider operations of the hospital. The clinic sees walk-in patients who are unable to see their regular GP; and urgent care patients who would otherwise seek care in the Emergency Department;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care as a General Practitioner.
  • Lead and manage a team of GPs and medical centre staff.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • Vocationally Registered GP - ACRRM or RACGP Fellow.
  • Ability to work within a team structure.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, analytical decision making, innovative thinking and an ability to manage people.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in acute care or urgent care GP setting.
  • ACRRM or RACGP Fellowship.
  • Experience in managing a medical centre team.

About the Role:

  • The hospital is a Level 5 hospital with full range medical, surgical and mental health services for both public and private patients.
  • The medical centre is a new, state-of-the-art facility including on-site pathology/radiology, pharmacy, specialist rooms and ample parking.
  • The medical centre is open 7-days per week, offering regular shifts or occasional casual shifts.
