Job Title

Maintenance Electricians play a pivotal role in maintaining equipment through routine maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics in both the maintenance workshop and field environments.

The Opportunity

As an Electrician in the Maintenance department, you will be responsible for maintaining our equipment through routine maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics in both the maintenance workshop and field environments.

  • Trouble shooting diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in heavy mining equipment (HME)
  • Performing scheduled Shutdown maintenance, statutory testing and electrical installations
  • Ensuring all work completed is to the highest standard to ensure fleet reliability
  • Providing assistance in the development and improvement of maintenance strategies
  • Complying with Bengalla's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times
  • Mentoring and developing Electrical apprentices

Key Requirements

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • High Voltage Switching accreditation or willingness to complete qualification
  • Demonstrated experience with maintenance of heavy mining equipment is essential
  • A strong diagnosing and troubleshooting background with proven experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound computer skills
  • Excellent work quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards
