Job Opportunity

Lead a UI chapter in a dynamic organization, shaping the visual identity of digital products and driving design excellence.

This role offers a unique chance to establish and grow a high-performing team, cultivating a culture of design innovation and collaboration.

As a UI Chapter Lead, you will be responsible for defining the chapter's vision, processes, and responsibilities, as well as actively contributing to the design of digital products.

You will work closely with a Principal UI Designer to ensure consistency, scalability, and exceptional design quality across all customer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the UI chapter, establishing its mission, operating rhythm, and standards for visual and interaction design.
  • Set tangible goals for UI craft, consistency, and career progression, championing the UI Designer role across the organization.
  • Cultivate a culture of design excellence, providing regular feedback and mentorship to foster growth in visual and interface design craft.
  • Be a hands-on member of a product squad, delivering accessible, high-quality UI that makes complex interactions simple.
  • Advocate for visually compelling, customer-centric experiences throughout product discovery, design, and delivery.
  • Partner closely with the Principal UI Designer to support ongoing design system evolution, contribution, and adoption.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience designing beautiful, effective digital interfaces in agile product teams.
  • Proven ability to lead UI strategy in complex, evolving product environments.
  • Mastery of typography, color, layout, motion, and brand translation for digital products.
  • Experience establishing and driving adoption of design systems at scale.
  • A track record of coaching UI designers to improve their craft and career outcomes.
  • Ability to balance design detail and speed in fast-paced delivery settings.
  • Advanced expertise in Figma (preferred), Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping tools, and visual QA workflows.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
  • Strong skills presenting designs, rationale, and strategy to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A UI design portfolio showcasing end-to-end craft, design system work, and measurable impact.
